Buying a New TV Minto Style 2002-07-25 Wednesday night is AM's counselling night. Usually old Annie and I suddenly remember that we need to do some emergency shopping, drop her off and go to the pub for a sly drink. But this week our plans were thwarted when the TV blew up on Monday. It really did. It may have been something to do with Pauline Fowler being on the screen at the time- who knows? So instead of our drink we had to go to buy a new TV and TBG decided (for the 1st time in about a century) that he'd like to come too.We suspected that he would try to bully us into buying a mahoosive flat screen,digital all-singing-all-dancing machine for around �1 500 (~$2 300) but luckily we managed to escape with only a �210 TV-video combo. A real bargain I think.
