The Catcher in the Rye August 14, 2002 The Catcher in the Rye. Has anyone sussed that I've just re-read this fantastic book. I really have. No I thought not. Go and read it right now if you've never read it. Your dull, wretched lives will be all the better for it. I almost got into Tom Lehrer then, did you notice? Some people must be saying by now 'what the fuck is he on about?'. It's amazing what a couple of cans of Carlsberg can do.
