House of Fun Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 House Of Fun Last Thursday evening Old Annie and I took AM and her friend JN to a careers presentation. We thought it was being held at the records office, since we�d been to the same event with TBG last year. When we got there the place was empty. We thought we had the wrong night but it turned out that the venue had changed and it was being held in a marquee in the grounds of a nearby restaurant. JN knew exactly what she wanted to do: catering. AM was interested in either interior design or being a nail technician. There was a presentation about doing catering on cruise ships that JN was interested in. Old Annie tried to get AM interested too, telling her that cruise ships have nail technicians, hairdressers etc. I think she was trying to get rid of her! They came away with a load of brochures. One thing that we�d never thought of that would be ideal for AM and that is to be an estate agent. She spends hours on the internet (when she should be at school) looking for houses for us to buy-of course they�re all far more expensive than we could afford.
